QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must pass the District's Cooks’ Test. Must possess the necessary interpersonal skills to deal courteously, cooperatively and effectively with students, teachers, co-workers, administrators, and the public. An ability to decipher recipes and knowledge of basic mathematics is also required. A High School Diploma, in addition to experience in large quantity cooking, is preferred. General knowledge of sanitation involving food and food equipment is recommended. The candidate must have a valid driver's license.
COMPENSATION: Wage will be in compliance with the employee handbook for the time worked. Work schedule will be 2hrs. Daily, Monday-Friday 10:45am-12:45pm; when school is in session.
DUTIES: Duties shall include, but not limited to:
- Ability to use good initiative and judgment
- Prepare and cook food items
- Set up cafeteria and serving lines
- Serve Food during meal service
- Operate a variety of food service equipment, not limited to oven, range, and dish machine
- Perform cleaning duties, dish washing, scrub cafeteria tables, clean serving areas, moving tables
- Properly stock, handle and store foods
- Apply proper sanitation principles and procedures
- Assist with food supply inventory
- Fill out daily paperwork and follow Federal Regulations
- Valid driver’s license to operate delivery van daily
- Any other duties assigned by your Supervisor
