The American Music Program is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to improve the economic development of our community through the support, promotion and encouragement of musicians, artists and cultural opportunities. AMP is a collection of programs designed to promote the arts and cultural experiences in our community through arts fundraising, artistic education and collaboration with the youth, the elderly, veterans, and local cultures. AMP currently has four programs in the works; Americana Music in the Park - a Summer music series held Wednesdays evenings from 6:00 to 8:30pm from May thru August; Music for Change - a fundraising program where community members put change into jars at local businesses. This money is then used to bring art, music and cultural experiences to the community as well as music and arts scholarship program; West Wisconsin Songwriter Association - a group of songwriters whose purpose is to promote the creation of new music in any genre and perform them in the community. A big component of this program is music education for musicians of all skill levels; The Divided Eye - an internet news program featuring local news events and topics presented by community members, local youth, and area businesses. (The Divided Eye is still a work in progress).
